You can make purchases through Google Wallet using a credit, debit, or gift card with the following logos:
- American Express(USD only)
- Discover (USD only)
- JCB (JPY and USD only)
- Visa Electron (Outside of US only)
If you're based in the United States, you can make purchases on Google Play and Google Offers using your Google Wallet Balance. US users can also link a bank accountto Google Wallet to send money to friends and family or to top up their Google Wallet Balance.
Additionally, some customers may be able to purchase applications from Google Play using direct carrier billing.
The types of cards accepted through Google Wallet are based on the seller's location. Other types of payments, such as checks and money orders, aren't currently accepted.
The following payment methods cannot be used currently to make purchases through Google Wallet:
- Health Savings Account (HSA) cards
- Transit cards
Also, keep in mind that the payment card used must be under your name. If you represent a company and use a corporate credit card, please make sure to provide both billing address and shipping address associated with the card, as well as the name as it appears on the front of the card.
Charges on Your Card Statement
Each time you make a purchase through Google Wallet, we'll let you know exactly how a charge will appear on your credit/debit card -- once you complete an order, check your receipt for details. You may also notice temporary authorizations.
Your credit/debit card will be charged by the seller, through your Google Wallet account. Note that the timing of the charge is based on the seller's discretion and the Google Wallet settings the seller has selected in their account. The standard format for charges on your statement is GOOGLE*Seller's name, but please check your receipt for exact details.
Google doesn't share your full payment details with the seller. Learn more about what information Google shares with sellers.
